Time to get Freedom from National Anthem 

Have you ever tried to know the meaning of India's National Anthem ?

You will be shocked to know that the national anthem of India actually insults the country and its citizens. We sing it like we are praising our motherland and are proud to be its citizens but but actually it never praises or pays respect to the nation or its people but actually is derogatory for every self-respecting Indian. The truth is that it is symbol of slavery and every word demeans the citizens of India.You might have sung it several times but this time lets pay attention to its words and their meaning. Chances are that after knowing its true meaning you will begin to hate yourself.
  

You have right to know that our national anthem does not praise our country but worships a Person.It does not tell about any quality or greatness of India.It does not Glorifies India.


Now lets understand its meaning - 

Jan Gan Man Adhinayak Jai Hey...

Jan -> People
Gan -> Servants/Slaves/Group
Man -> Heart/Soul
Adhinayak -> Owner/Boss/Hero
Jai Hey -> You should always win/rule


It means 

" O our owner, you the ruler of us and our souls shall always rule us and flourish ..." 

Bharat Bhagya Vidhata...

Bharat -> India

Bhagya -> Destiny/Future

Vidhata ->God/Creator/Maker

" O you the God of the India,you the maker of the destiny of India" 

It clearly shows that here India is not praised but the owner or maker of destiny of India is praised.So one thing is crystal clear that we are not singing this song in the respect or worship of India.

We all your slaves feel proud in continuously singing your victory tales and greatness stories" 

NOTE : - Articles in Wikipedia and other mediums influenced by authorities try to prove that this song was written to praise the almighty God but careful examination of above line clarifies everything. "Tab subh ashish mange" clearly tells that it was not about God because man cannot seek blessings for God.

" O you the great one who brings prosperity to the people of this nation,shall always win and flourish. O the maker of the destiny of India you are the greatest and shall always be.We are fortunate that you rule us and we always pray that your rule may continue forever,your victory may be forever."

     
The crux is that the song is embarrassingly fulsome and the unctuosity of the writer is clearly visible.When people sing this song it means they are also following the same path and feel proud in being slaves. Most important thing is that this song was written for a person and not for the nation so by singing this we are not showing our love towards our nation but unknowingly appreciating that person and his rule.


For whom this song was written ?

Jan-Gan-Man was first sung in 1911 to praise and felicitate King George V when the king first visited to India. Tagore family was known to be very close to the British and were supporters of the British rule.It is said that King was so impressed by Rabinder Nath Tagore's unctuosity towards him and British rule that he rewarded Tagore by helping him get Nobel Prize in 1913. Tagore's Nobel prize is considered as gift for praising British and supporting them as it is evident from the fact that initially he was never in the race for the prize. In fact his name was not recommended by the Nobel Committee and he was not even in the shortlisted candidates.His book "Gitanjali" was never a popular one or acclaimed one to get the prestigious Nobel prize. While awarding the prize in 1913 this was even mentioned by Chairperson of Nobel Committee, Harald Hjarne that Poet's name was comparatively unknown in Europe but he was chosen for several other reasons.  
  

National anthem is not song of Freedom

Whenever we sing Jan-Gan-Man it actually praises the British rule and remind us that we were the slaves ruled by them.We are so servile that we still are not able to overcome their influence.It does not represent the joy and happiness of free and independent people but represents the slaves who were willing to go to any level to get favour of their owners.Jan-Gan-Man was popularized by British by well planned strategy in order to counter the Vande Matram song which was creating awareness and inspiration against British rule.  

How can we treat the symbol of slavery as symbol of Independence ? How can we feel proud singing this song which even does not praises the country ? Do we think that being servile is our proud moment ?


Tagore too was not in favour of this song 

You will be surprised to know that Jan-Gan-Man was never the choice of leaders for National anthem.Only Jawahar Lal Nehru was in its favour and because of his veto like capacity in the congress party he forced everyone to accept Jan-Gan-Man as National anthem.According to social activist Rajiv Dikshit Rabinder Nath Tagore himself was not in favour of his song. After jallianwala massacre in 1919, Tagore, started supporting national movement and turned against British.In a letter to his relative Surendra nath banerjee, Tagore said that he wishes that this song may not be sung by Indians as it is derogatory. 

  
Why this song needs to be changed

Jan-Gan-Man needs to be changed as it glorifies the slavery of India and does not represent the feelings of free Indians. It should be changed because it neither praises the nation nor it gives respect to its citizens.

1. Jan-Gan-Man cannot be national song as it disrespects the sovereignty of India.
2. It cannot be treated as National anthem as it never praises the country or its people.If even the views of supporters of the song are considered and it is believed that it addresses God and not George V,it cannot be treated as National anthem because then it comes out to be a prayer and admiration of God not the praise of the India.
3. It never represents the pride of the country but in the contrary depicts the servile nature of the Indians.
4. It does not fill Indians with self respect and pride.
5. It does not depicts the greatness of the country or its people.  

What can be done 

India now needs to be truly freed from British slavery,the Sun now needs to be set. It is time to choose a new song which can reflect the pride of India, which can truly represent the greatness of India. Awareness needs to be created among all the citizens to put pressure on the government to change this derogatory song. A new song can be written to avoid any controversy related to all other old songs.A song which can truly represent India and its sense of togetherness of its citizens. 

Sun of British empire is still shining over India.
